JPL/QMI Cooperative efforts
The following are areas where the NDE and Advance Actuators Group is working with QMI.
Ultrasonic motors (USM) - Developing motors that are actuated by piezoelectric crystals, for operation in space conditions.
Frequency Modulated High Power Ultrasound (FMPUL) - Developing noninvasive medical techniques that are induced by ultrasound. This technology is currently under development with Dr. Robert Siegel of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Non-balloon base angioplasty - This technology is currently under development with Dr. Robert Siegel of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
