Biography Dr. Benjamin P. Dolgin is a Caltech Ph.D. with a background in physics, materials science, and electrical and mechanical engineering. Dr. Dolgin came to Caltech with an MSEE and five years of experience in electronics and electronic materials. Dr. Dolgin is an author of seven patents and a number of articles in the areas of microdevices, NDT, materials, as well as semiconductor materials and device fabrication. Dr. Dolgin is a task manager of the Robotic Drilling and Containerization Task. His recent work at JPL involved the development of a novel explosion welding technology, automated drilling techniques for extraterrestrial applications, micromachined devices, and dimensionally stable structures. He came to JPL from Allied-Signal Research Center where he was involved in the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and modeling. Dr. Dolgin was a part of the team, which developed a thin film magnetic read/write head technology for Burroughs Corp. |
