Dr. Tianji Xue

Biography Dr. Tianji Xue joined the JPL's NDE & AA Group in June 1996 as a Postdoc. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University (1996), as well as M.S. degree in EE from Iowa State and a B.S. degree in Optical Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology. His expertise includes solid state materials and devices, IC design and simulation, optical system design and testing, digital signal and image processing, and statistical data analysis, etc. He has also been active in numerical modeling of wave propagation phenomena with application to NDE. He has experience in a wide range of computer operating systems, programming languages and numerous CAD tools. At JPL, he is responsible for the design, processing, testing and simulation of electromechanical sensors and actuators based on electroactive polymer materials. He is also involved in software development for instrumentation control, data acquisition and analysis. He is the author or co-author of over thirty technical publications.
